Lots of Extra Ultimate Rewards Points for Holiday Inn and Intercontinental Reservations!

Chase’s Ultimate Rewards mall is currently offering 10 bonus points for every dollar spent when reserving rooms at Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Intercontinental Hotels. So, if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred card or another with access to the Ultimate Rewards mall, and you plan to book reservations at one of these hotels, you should definitely consider booking via this portal. Remember to use your Chase card at check-out. According to the rules, you will be credited with the bonus points after you have completed your stay.

Possible hack: It might be possible to earn these bonus points while buying Priority Club points for .6 cents each. Technically, the bonus points shouldn’t post if you do this trick because you won’t have really completed a reservation, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they do.

It’s really a nice and helpful piece of info. I am happy that you simply shared this useful information with us. Please keep us up to date like this. Thanks for sharing.

You do not have to use your Chase UR card to get the shopping points. I have used both gift cards and other credit cards and still received the points. The mall states that if you use your Chase card your points will show up on your credit card statement but does not state that you have to use the card to earn. I find this strange because all other bank reward sites (Cap 1, Amex, Discover) that I know of require you to use their card. You can do your Sears trick by buying the gift cards and use them on the final purchase in the UR Mall and get 20 pts per $. I just tried it when purchasing a TV and they both posted.

Scott: Wow,that’s a great find! I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the possibilities that trick opens up: new ways to meet minimum spend thresholds, a new idea for a perpetual point machine, etc! Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m sure you will see some related blog posts from me soon 🙂

For the hack you mention, you’d need to book a cash and points award through UR mall. Didn’t think that was possible. Don’t C&P awards need to be booked directly on Priority club website?

From the UR mall, when you click “shop now” on Holiday Inn, it takes you to the holidayinn.com website where you can search for rooms. There, you can select rate preference = Reward nights in order to find and book cash and points rewards. As I said in the post, though, you might not get any UR bonus points doing this if you don’t actually keep your reservation.

IIRC, the .6 cpp posts as points.com.
