20% rebate on Disney Theme parks (and Universal, SeaWorld, etc.)!

Valid through: ?

Currently, the cash back portal Ebates is offering 20% cash back for Orbitz “Activity” reservations.  Among other things, Orbitz Activities include passes to Disney World, Universal theme parks, and more.  It’s extremely rare to get a good discount on Disney tickets, so this can be a great opportunity for those planning a Disney vacation!

You may need to hurry, I don’t know how long Ebates will continue to offer this deal.

Here are the steps:

  1. Signup for EBates
  2. Signup for Orbitz Rewards (I’m not sure if you’ll earn rewards for Activity purchases, but it can’t hurt to try)
  3. Log into EBates and search for “Orbitz”
  4. Once on the Orbitz website, click the Activities tab and put in your dates of travel and location (e.g. Orlando, FL) to see options.
  5. Purchase your activity voucher and bring it to the theme park admissions counter to exchange for a admission tickets.

You can find signup links for EBates and Orbitz Rewards on my Sign-Up Links Page (click here).  By using these referral links, both of us can earn additional rewards (see the sign-up links page for details).

My 20% (over $200) is pending in my Orbitz account for 4 3-day base Tickets & 2 Days Free. I also used this for our shuttle service. I tried added my voucher to My Disney Experience, wasn’t sure if I should put in the Package Locator, Orbitz A&S Code or Will Call number so I tried them all but nothing worked. I tried calling Customer Service for My Disney Experience but the wait time was over 30 minutes for a long distance call 🙁

Orbitz will give you a ‘voucher’
Go to the My Disney Experience web page and create an account.
Add your voucher (if you can’t add it online call CS)
Tickets do not expire until 14 days after first use.
Linking to my Disney experience allows you to reserve fast passes 60 days in advance.
Ticket prices increase every year so this is worth doing even a year or more in advance.
PM me on FT: HaleyB if you want Disney advice.
Google mousesavers historic discounts to find a page that lists historic discount, Disney is very predictable.

After a bunch of digging around lots of folks on DISBoards confirming the 20% so I bought them

Whats the difference between a reservation or a package?

“20.0% Cash Back per Activity reservation; 2.0% Cash Back on Activities Package” from http://www.ebates.com/coupons/orbitz/index.htm

Eric Maur

that’s what I’m trying to figure out… 2% vs 20% is what makes or breaks this…

Eric Maur

yeah i found that when I tried putting Jan 2015 in they did NOT show up. This 20% ebates is HUGE for a family of 4, especially since disney just sneakily increased prices yesterday. Still have some days left on our passes from last month’s trip, but want to buy more now.

Can anyone confirm that these show up as activity purchase for ebates purposes???

Eric Maur

i’m still seeing the WDW. And after 30 minutes on the phone with Orbitz.com outsourced customer service, i’ve been told that the no expiration tickets do NOT have to be redeemed during the dates you enter on orbitz.com and can be used at any time

Thanks Eric! I’m not sure why Disney World didn’t show up for me when I just searched. Maybe I should have tried different dates

Yes, to be clear, it looks like Orbitz took away the Disney option in Orlando, but you can still do the deal shown above for Universal Studios or Seaworld. Or Disneyland in California

Eric Maur

Can I order now for disney and not redeem until 2015?

I don’t know the rules for the tickets. Did you read the fine print?

We’re going to Disney World in 2 weeks and I’ve been waiting on a great deal! This is it if it posts. My only concern is when I clicked through the link it said “Up to 20% cash back” with no additional details that I could see.

When in Ebates, click on the small link that says Orbitz coupons, that will tKe you to a page that shows the cash back details such as “20.0% Cash Back per Activity reservation”.

Or, try this link: http://www.ebates.com/coupons/orbitz/index.htm

Thanks for posting. I purchased Disney World tickets that I plan on redeeming in April, but I won’t use until 2015. As long as I redeem the voucher during the dates I registered, I should be able to use the tickets next year. As for Universal Orlando, the fine print says the ticket must be used by 5/22/14.

I just took the plunge and ordered 4 Universal Orlando tickets. I hope that the 20% posts through ebates.
I don’t need the tickets for at least one year. Orbitz required me entering dates.

Good luck! I hope it works too
