Ordered online and went to store. Online order did not result in any rebate emails but in store purchase resulted in rebates printing with receipt from west nyack, new york

Bought $400 worth today in Las Vegas. Received rebate printout, submitied on-line and rcvd confirmation.
Not good at all…. the local staples stores in my area (Central Virginia) aren’t carrying the $200 visa gift/debit card. While the promotion is NOT listed in the local 4 page newspaper insert, it is in the much longer on-line version…. My local manager was fairly certain she hadn’t seen any of the $200 versions of the Visa Gift card in weeks, if not months. She called other area Staples stores and NONE of them had the $200 card.
Did you find them anywhere? I’ve been scouring the points-o-sphere, and I’m not seeing much of any kind of reports. OTOH, my Staples had LOTS of the horrendously expensive $100 cards. (as well as the Amex cards) I’m suspicious that this was all a con to unload supply of the $100 cards.
Yes, this could have been a good deal, IF the $200 cards had been available to us on line. ???

That’s not good. Have you tried contacting Staples by phone or online chat?
My local store manager didn’t know anything about it either…. and she did mention that Staples is transitioning to an electronic only weekly ad. (At the moment, some areas have much shorter weekly inserts for the newspapers — in our case, just four pages, and it did NOT mention the rebate promotion. The on-line version of the ad DID, even when plugging in our local store, but our local manager was stumped about this promotion — even when staring at the apparent non-evidence.
My conclusion then is that this is one promotion that’s not available on-line or in-store….
