Last I checked, it was possible to buy Amazon Kindle gift cards at ToysRUs (in-store) and pay with a gift card.  Kindle gift cards are good for anything on Amazon.com (except other gift cards).

Good luck finding the AZ GCs at your local store. I have 5 stores by me and all of them have been empty for months and I check in on them all at least once a month. I cleared them all out around Xmas time and none have restocked yet. Hopefully they all restock as it gets closer to Xmas again.
