11 Free Rides with Lyft for New Members & Referral Credit for Existing Members

Car sharing service Lyft is offering up to 11 free rides (up to $20 each) for new members signing up with a referral code. They are also offering a $20 credit for existing members who refer new members to sign up.

To get the 11 free rides you can use the code SHAWN1598, however every member has their own code. Feel free to leave your own referral code in the comments. (Note: This offer was received directly and other people’s referral codes may not yield the 11 rides. The terms and conditions do not make it clear if this is targeted or available to everyone.)

Terms

To receive referral and bonus credits, your invitees must be new to Lyft and must enter your code before taking their first ride. By signing up, invitees receive $20 off each of their first 10 rides, and your code grants them an additional free ride. A referral credit grants you $20 off a single Lyft ride. A bonus credit grants you $5 off a single Lyft ride. This promotion ends at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2015. Referral and bonus credits are valid for 30 days.

Signing Up

To sign up for an account, you must first download the Lyft app. Upon opening the app you will be prompted to create an account. Once that is complete, you will be able to enter the code on the “Payment” screen. (The code must be entered before your first ride.)

Note that referral and new member bonus credits earned through this offer are only valid for 30 days.
