walgreens vanilla visa deal

In this week’s ad, Walgreens is offering a $5 Walgreens gift card with the purchase of any 2 Vanilla Visa cards. (Ends May 9, 2015.) This deal appears to include all Vanilla branded Visas including variable load cards.

Vanilla branded Visas (issued by Bancorp) are more difficult to liquidate since they do not work at Walmart to load Bluebird/Serve in denominations of $50 or more. Additionally, many Walgreens stores nationwide do not allow gift cards to be purchased with credit cards.

Key Terms

  • Limit $500 load per card.
  • Limit 2 free gift cards per person

Just tried a $49.99 load at a WM kiosk in suburban Chicago and got a “debit not available” error code 56

Only about an hour afterwards. I’ll try again today. Thanks for the tip!

On a similar topic, are US Bank MC gift cards not loading to BB anymore? I successfully loaded some earlier last month but I haven’t been able to load anymore since around 3rd week of April.

Has the limit of (2) been enforced in the past per account?

Is there any problem liquidating the $500 variable load Vanilla Visa via Amex Target REDbird?
