Kroger is offering 4X fuel points on the purchase of gift cards both online and in-store. Normally you earn 2X fuel points on gift card purchases, so this deal essentially doubles the amount of points you are earning.

Update: Some stores may sell $200 Visa gift cards as well. As long as the card has a fixed value, then it should work for this deal.
Kroger sells $100 Visa gift cards in-store for $105.95. The purchase of one of these cards earns enough for $.40 off per gallon of gas up to 35 gallons. You can also purchase just about any other merchant gift card as well and earn the points. Note that variable load Visa/MC cards are not eligible for the deal. Buying gift cards in-store should trigger the grocery category bonus on cards that have one.
Online
The online store is run by GiftCardMall and not Kroger and thus will not earn a category bonus for grocery stores. With that said, if you have a card that earns a category bonus at GiftCardMall, then you should earn that bonus on the purchase.

web card to use IN STORE. SO WHY IS IT NOT HERE? IS KROGER BECOMING JUST A BUNCH OF GRABBERS WITH A DIFFICULT WEB SITE THAT DRAGS YOU THROUGH A LOT OF BUYING OPPORTUNITIES BUT NEVER EVER DOES THE HONEST THING?

I just did a test purchase @my local Kroger,and fixed value $100 VGC trigger the 4x fuel points. But I can’t set up a pin at their automatic voice system. Annoying. Called the gift card agent and she watched as I went through the system and of course she don’t know what to do but suggestted using it as credit. As far as I can remember,This is issued by US Bank so you have to set up the pin before go to Wally.Not as convenient as those issued by Meta that the last 4 digit is the pin. Right?! Or am I missing something?! Grrrr…
$100 VISA GC stopped giving 4x. I purchased them yesterday.
Fixed value visa/Mc never work for these. When they stopped giving points for any visa/mc gc purchase the fixed values somehow stopped as well. I’ve gotten a lot of ‘I don’t know’ but I never contacted anyone outside of the stores.
I sure do love my 4x promotion at Kroger. Used my 5% cash back card and filled up both cars for $0.77 / gallon, plus used my 5% cash back on the gas. Great promotion!
