How to find Hyatt Points plus Cash availability

Will Run for Miles reports that its possible to use a special corporate rate code to more effectively search for available Points plus Cash nights on Hyatt’s website.  Without this code, it is necessary to find a specific Hyatt hotel and enter the dates you want to stay, and then click the “Show Hyatt Gold Passport Points & Awards” box to see if Points plus Cash is available:

With the corporate code trick, you can search across properties to look for Points plus Cash availability.  When searching for hotels within a particular city, click to enter Special Rates, select Corporate or Group Code and enter 51440, as shown above.

Properties that show Points plus Cash dollar amounts have Points and Cash availability.  Look for the following dollar amounts: $50, $55, $75, $100, $125, $150, $300.  You can find Hyatt’s Points and Cash chart here.

Not quite perfect

I played around with this a bit and found that it usually worked, but not always.  Still, if you know you want to stay in a particular area and want to pay Points and Cash, this is a great way to help narrow your search.

[…] How to find Hyatt Points plus Cash availability […]

Jerry

So is the rate using the code the actual rate to pay , or will it still require points after the listed rate ??

Jenny

I use the code to play around and found the hotel I am interested to stay with is a lot cheaper even if I pay out-of-pocket using 51440 code, can I actually book the hotel with that code? Am I gonna get in trouble when check in? Will the hotel ask for my business card or any proof to use that code?

Appreciate your reply.
Jenny

It appears to show the “member discount” rate. If you click on it it’ll explain the requirements. Its a Hyatt Gold Passport member rate.
