Mercedes-Benz Platinum card 75,000 point offer

Valid through: 6/22/2016

American Express offers many different versions of their Platinum cards.  They have their Business Platinum card, their consumer Platinum card, and a number of co-branded versions of the personal Platinum card.  Significantly, each of these is treated as a separate product.  So, if you’ve had a Platinum card before, you can still get the bonus on a new one as long as you haven’t had that particular Platinum card before.

Now, for the first time ever (that I can remember, anyway), the Mercedes-Benz Platinum Card has temporarily increased their signup offer to 75,000 points after $3K spend (the usual offer is for 50,000 points).

It’s important to note that this card has a hefty annual fee which is not waived the first year: $475.  However, in exchange for that fee, you get lots of great perks (not to mention 75,000 valuable points!):

  • Up to $200 per calendar year in statement credits for airline incidental fees (by signing up mid-year, you can get this twice in your first membership year)
  • $100 Global Entry fee reimbursement
  • Airport lounge benefits (Centurion Lounge, Delta SkyClub, Priority Pass Select, etc.)
  • Rental car elite status
  • SPG Gold status
  • Hilton Gold status
  • Free Boingo wifi
