Yazing portal offering $75 for creating new TVG account and depositing $50

15

I just received a deceptively titled email from the Yazing cash back portal:

You earned $75 on Yazing!

Ok, you didn’t really just make $75, but you can and it is easy!

Today is the start of the Triple Crown racing season and TVG is offering $75 cash back for each new account that deposits $50 or more!

That’s right, log into your Yazing account, click on one of the deals on the TVG deal page, create a new TVG account with a $50 deposit, and your $75 cash back just made $25 in free money!

Don’t stop there.  Post the following message on twitter, facebook, social bookmarking sites, and anywhere else people are discussing today’s Kentucky Derby and make an easy $75 each time someone signs up for TVG and deposits $50 or more!

TVG.com is a website for online horse race betting.

On the surface, this appears to be a great one-time deal with two components:

  1. To get $75 from Yazing, click through Yazing to TVG, create an account, and deposit $50 or more.
  2. Yazing shows two coupons to use with TVG.  The first one offers up to a $150 bonus when you bet your first deposit.  What really happens is that they promise to match your first deposit when you bet it, up to a maximum of $150.

If you stick to the minimum $50 deposit (to get $75 from Yazing) and then bet that $50, you should get $50 additional dollars in your TVG account.  So, for a total of $50 out of pocket, you should get $75 cash back plus $100 worth of funds to gamble with.

Risks and warnings

  • Gambling is well known to be addictive.  This deal is designed to get you hooked.  They wouldn’t offer this unless they were sure that, on average and in the long run, they’ll make back more money then they’re doling out.
  • The signup form asks for your social security number. It’s possible that there’s a hard credit inquiry involved (I didn’t sign up to test this).  If so, most people would be better off with a big credit card signup bonus.
  • Yazing suggests sharing your link with friends. If you do, you will earn $75 if they sign up.  They will not.  I’d suggest sharing it with your enemies, not your friends.

I’m not familiar with Yazing. So if I get my friend to sign up for tvg using my link, I will get $75 and they will get the $150 tvg bonus? When will I receive the $75 from yazing?

Or can I use my yazing link to sign myself up and i get the $75?

Adam

If ANYONE signs up for TVG using your link, you earn the $75 marketing referral commission that Yazing has negotiated with TVG.

If you sign up for Yazing, you earn the marketing commissions on anything you buy online, including the $75 deal from TVG.

John

Most betting sites pay out the bonus as a fraction of the percent wagered. For instance, the “juice” is usually 10%. So the house is hoping that everyone bets equally on each side of the wager, and they just swap money around for people, keeping 10% off the top.

So in the case of at least DraftKings and FanDuel, they pay out your “bonus” as a small percentage of your wager. Wager $50 and you will get $1 of your bonus credited to your account. The rest stays in your “bonus pot”

It is clearly laid out in the terms, but the marketing is pretty shady. I am not going to do this horse betting thing, so I am not digging into the details, but I would suggest people take a good look at those terms.

Steve

I looked quickly at the terms and it looks like the tvg bonus will pay within 7 days. But I think it has to be wagered instead of withdrawn

Adam

Thanks for the mention. Sorry about the title, I thought it was clever. 🙂

Yazing does let you earn cash rewards when you share coupons and deals with others. Just about every online purchase has a commission attached to it. You can let other sites claim those commissions or claim them for yourself with Yazing.

The truth is that the average shopper is just looking for a good coupon code or deal and really doesn’t understand the cash back rewards available for these purchases as much as your educated readers do. I am not sure helping your friends find a good coupon code is a bad thing, but you can always educated them on the cash back available and let them claim the cash for themselves!

Ok decided to give this a shot. signed up through Yazing using coupon code GET150, TVG said the coupon was confirmed.

deposited $50 and placed my derby bet. But my TVG account is now at $0. I assume it’ll be updated with TVG’s bonus… soon?

Adam

I read through their terms, it looks like the bonus match will get added to your account in approx 7 days after betting your initial deposit.

Thanks, I agree the best deal is getting the bonus and the $75 commission!

You bring up a tough question for us though, as we are relying on members sharing their links so that we can continue to pass 100% off the available commissions from our partner stores on to our members for both their purchases and recommendations. See this link for how we plan to make money – https://yazing.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/8000005373-how-does-yazing-make-money-

So if sharing deals and earning commissions is seen as “evil” than this is a big problem for us.

We use the same platforms and affiliate programs this site uses to monetize credit card offers, we just simplify the process for our members and give them instant access to all the brands.

Are you suggesting if and when we are able to sign up the credit card companies to Yazing, that you will no longer monetize your site in this fashion, and will instead direct them to Yazing so they can earn those affiliate commissions for themselves?

Nit

Can I deposit $50, wait a few days to get the $75 bonus and simply withdraw $125 without placing any bet? I don’t mind placing a small bet of $5. That way it won’t look like that I opened the account just to get the bonus.

Adam

I think TVG matches the amount of your deposit up to $150 after you bet your original deposit. I doubt they will let you “cash out” the matching bonus.
