British Airways is offering a 35% bonus when you transfer hotel points into their Avios program.
The Offer
35% bonus Avios will be awarded to customers who convert hotel points to Avios. Convert Starpoints, Marriott Rewards points, IHG Rewards Club points, Hyatt Gold Passport points, Shangri-La Golden Circle Award Points, Club Carlson Gold points and Hilton Hhonors points between 20 June and 5 July 2016.
Need to Know
Transfer partner minimums:
- Club Carlson (10:1) – 2,000 points
- Hilton HHonors (10:1) – 10,000
- Hyatt Gold Passport (2.5:1) – 5,000
- IHG Rewards – (10:2) 10,000
- Marriott Rewards – (10:2) 10,000;
- Shangri-La Golden Circle– (1:1) 2,500 and
- Starwood Preferred Guest (1:1) – 2,500

If I transfer 20k SPG, would I then get 25k from SPG going to BA, then 35% bonus stacked on top making 36,372 from 20k?
Yes.
Your math is wrong though. 35% on top of 25,000 is 33,750

do you think you would get bonus for a transfer that you initiate during the eligible period, but doesn’t post until afterwards? didn’t see anything in the terms that answers that concern. a lot of these hotel program process their points-to-miles transfer requests very slowly.
My transfer posted in 4 days, so transfer soon and don’t worry about it. Also, it shows by transfer date if you look at post below, so I think they would give you the 35% bonus if posts after, but don’t know for use.
