FYI had over 10,000 elevate points, took a RT trip from EWR>BOS on JetBlue and the 30,000 bonus points appeared in my TrueBlue account a few days later! Thanks for the heads up.

[…] As reported via Quick Deals, JetBlue is currently offering to match the number of points in your Virgin America Elevate account simply by registering and then flying a JetBlue roundtrip flight.  Depending upon the number of points in your Virgin Elevate account, the points match ranges from 1 to 1 (get one JetBlue point for each Virgin Elevate point you have) to 10 to 1 (get 10 JetBlue points for each Virgin Elevate point you have).  If you don’t have Virgin Elevate points, it is still possible to get them, but you don’t have much time.  You must email JetBlue a picture of your Virgin America point balance by July 4th 2016. Assuming you’re only using SPG transfer, the best value per SPG point is the 10,001 level (yes, foregoing the extra 5k bonus for 20k transfers). You’re getting 3x the JB points (30k). Probably not worth it to book a JB rountd trip just for that, but if are already planning one and don’t want to tie up too many SPG points, there you go. Defining value as (value of VX points + value of JB points)/(value of SPG points transferred).

My question is: what do you do with the 51K Virgin America miles? When they eventually become Alaska miles, what ratio can we expect?

Jedi

Transfer 40001 SPG points = 50,001 Virgin America (Soon to be Alaskan). This will be a great deal if works and people value both airline programs…..

Let’s figure out how to hack this one efficiently!

So can we transfer points from MR / TY Points etc into VA (EG 51k points) and show jetblue, keep the VA points and earn 75k trueblue? That sounds amazing if that’s the case!

Actually this isn’t an absolutely amazing deal since it’s a 2:1 transfer – though that’s reasonably offset by the fact that you’ll also get another 1-1.5 truebluepoints in the mix

Chris

Use SPG points to transfer to Virgin, they go 1:1 (actually 40:50). My question is, how long does it take to go from SPG-> Virgin? Also, that would only get you 50,000 assuming you have no prior points. However, you can then do an Amex Transfer for another 100 to get the full bonus.

I submitted mine at 7:07 A.M PST on Saturday. As of now, still nothing.

Did you receive an email from SPG after submitting yours?

Also, did you get a pop up window to fill in your transfer amount, etc?

Sam

Could we transfer Points into Virgin America Account and qualify for that new balance? Thanks
