Sears offering portal rewards on gift cards for three days only

8

A number of portals currently show rewards for purchasing gift cards from Sears through 12/22/16.  This is a big deal for those who want to maximize the current Sears Amex Offer (Spend $50, Get $10 Back).  Keep in mind the following:

  • By-mail gift cards are issued by Kmart and will not trigger the Amex offer.
  • Most, if not all, e-gift cards (such as the the blue Sears gift card) are issued by Sears and will trigger the Amex offer.
  • Gift card reloads will trigger the Amex offer, but we don’t know if reloads are included in this portal promotion.

Which portals are included?

My guess is that this is available through all portals, but only a few have listed the promotion.  If you try others and earn rewards please let us know. I could not find any mileage portals that show the promotion (I check United, Alaska, Southwest, and Virgin America so far).

Here are the portals I found that do list the promotion:

eBates (currently offering 6% cash back):

Name / LinkOfferFrequent Miler Notes:
RakutenYou'll earn $10 after making a qualified purchase through the portal. We'll earn a bonus too (details vary depending upon promotions). This is one of our two favorite portals (the other being TopCashBack). We love the Rakuten portal because it gives you the option of earning valuable Amex Membership Rewards points instead of cash back!
ShopAtHomeYou will earn a $5 bonus once you make $20 in purchases within a month (I’m not sure if I’ll earn a bonus – it may depend upon whether or not ShopAtHome is running a tell-a-friend promo.I've had good luck with this portal, but I don't like that they have a $20 minimum payout.
TopCashBackBonus rates vary.TopCashBack is one of our two favorite portals because it almost always offers the best cash back rates. Our other favorite is Rakuten.
