    • Unfortunately, no. From the offer terms at Doctor of Credit:

“Offer not available to existing Chase checking customers, those with fiduciary accounts, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance.”

  1. Given that $15,000 is required to get the bonus (I have no mortgage with Chase), that comes to an annual return of 4%, assuming you downgrade after 6 months to a no fee checking account. That’s also taxable income, unlike a credit card bonus. As they say on Shark Tank, “for those reasons, I’m out.”

  2. I tried this and when I entered my zip code I got a message saying that the offer wasn’t available in my area. Then, i called Chase and the rep confirmed that it was because we lived in an area where there aren’t Chase branches. Am I doing something wrong?

    • chase has these bonus offers going all year…the exact one you are talking about is a common valuepack coupon I have one in front of me that expires 4/22/2017 if anyone wants to use the coupon code, go ahead. It is : PY797726427E7M3R this is a one time code so first person gets it. We got $300 for checking (with better terms) and $200 for savings, we also got $500 for business checking…you can do these once a year, but you have to time things where you have the account open for 6 months (so they don’t claw back bonus) and then you can close it. Wait 90 days after closing and as long as it is a new calendar year, you are eligible to get them again.
