  1. How much are the ‘fees’ to buy these gift cards? And don’t CC companies frown on such gift card purchases, especially for newly opened CC?

    • Unless I’m trying to meet minimum spend on a card, I wait for better offers, like a $20 Visa card. $6.95 fee per $200 card. With a 5 X card, you can still do OK. $15 Staples card isn’t as exciting. If you try to charge your whole credit limit, yes, they might frown. Be wise.
