I don’t know about you, but as long as Amex keeps paying me to use their cards I’m a happy camper. I love this one. Spend $100 in-store or online at a grocery store and get 1,500 Membership Rewards points. Nice! Apparently Amex likes this deal too: This is the first time that I can remember seeing an exclamation point in the name of an Amex Offer (“Supermarket Rewards!”).
I first saw this reported in a few blogs last week, but the offer wasn’t on any of my cards at that time. When I logged in yesterday, though, there it was on my Everyday card!
And that wasn’t the only goodie I found. Amex also wants me to earn points by using the same card to pay my cable bill. With each separate $100+ transaction I’ll get 1,000 points, up to 3 times. I’ll use this on my Comcast bill, but I’ve heard that this works for paying cell phone bills too. Like the supermarket (supermarket rewards!) offer, this cable TV offer wasn’t there last week.

Also anyone have any idea if directv bill counts for the Amex offer? It’s now bought by at&t so I’m curious
I’m sure it would work with the Cable / Satellite TV offer, but I doubt it would work with the AT&T specific offer unless you have some way to pay your directv bill directly through ATT
Didn’t have the grocery offer on any of my cards unfortunately. Had the cable offer on 2 cards plus 2 AUs. My cable bill is only $69.99 a month so just prepaid my cable bill for 17 months! Haha
Those 12k MR are going to come in handy for an Aeroplan transfer I have coming soon.

successfully redeemed with AT&T U-verse bill
I had the cell phone offer and the cable tv offer, both 1000 points for $100. Paying my AT&T bill triggered both, 2000 points for $100 spend.
