Europe on major alliances from $400 round trip (from New York, Seattle, Chicago, & more)

2

Over the weekend, prices have dropped to as low as $400 on flights to Europe from as soon as next month through as far out as next summer on major alliance flights (which means a free checked bag and seat selection in most cases). The Points Guy has a number of examples; there are also some below (click the images to go to Google Flights). This is not an exhaustive list, but rather a sampling of what is available. If you’re considering a trip to Europe over the next seven or eight months, it’s worth checking your dates and cities today. See our guide for How to find great business class fares with Google Flights for general tips on using Google Flights to check multiple destinations at once.

Here are some examples of flights available as of the time of writing this morning:

Chicago to Paris in winter from $403 (Icelandair doesn’t include any bags)

Miami to Zurich from $415

Bottom line

These are some nice prices for flights on legacy carriers that should include a checked bag and seat selection while also earning miles. If you’re traveling light, you may also want to see WOW, Norwegian, and Icelandair (mostly excluded from the searches above) as they have even better prices available on many dates if you’re willing to forgo bags. Other city pairs are available  — let us know what else you find in the comments.
