There is a new Amex Offer out for Google Express good for $20 back on a purchase of $50 or more. Some people have received a second (even more valuable) version good for 2,000 Membership Rewards points back on $50 or more. This offer just showed up this evening (I’ve been in my Amex accounts several times today and this offer wasn’t showing earlier today). This is a nice offer as you can buy a wide range of things through Google Express, including plenty of popular gift cards.

This is a great offer to save that’s good through the holiday season. This one will definitely come in handy and be popular. It’s targeted; I only received it on my personal cards and my wife didn’t receive the offer at all. However, reports online indicate that it’s pretty widely available (not sure why my wife came up empty). I’d probably add this one sooner rather than later as it could reach capacity early.

This offer completely sucks if you live where I do. Virtually NO GCs available and the few that are…. well, they are not very useful. Tried but failed to have stuff delivered elsewhere. Since the delivery address didn’t jive with the billing address, well, tough luck.
Not your guys fault and thanks for posting, but these localized or adjusted for locality offers blow.

I had the offer on only one card… Until I checked the mobile app and it appeared there.
Did a dual browser trick to add to both cards.
Looks like I’m being charged tax for a GC order.
Reports I’ve read indicate that in the past, the tax has been refunded after the fact. I saw those reports and figured that even if it isn’t, I’d be well ahead after $20 back….but I haven’t used my offers yet.

I’ve seen it earlier today, but now it’s gone. Amex Offers are becoming very short lived.
How can we buy gift cards through google express? First time user — someone mentioned buying gift cards from Staples? How do we do that? Staples doesn’t even show up on the store list from Google Express.
Just go to express.google.com and type “gift card” in the search box.
I don’t think any of the stores sell Staples gift cards, but there a number of gift card results. Basically, you’re limited to the types of gift cards sold by the participating stores.
Thanks for the reply. Looks like the ones I am interested in is not available in my area. Can I ship to an address where the item is available and still use my billing address where the item is not available?
I imagine it is the same as if you purchased directly from Target, Walmart, etc. It’ll probably work. Now and then, I have an order held up or cancelled when my billing and shipping address don’t match, but more than 90% of them go through without an issue (I do ship a fair number of things each year to family members in different states). I expect Google Express is likely the same, but I haven’t tried it.
