Quick Thoughts

Delta appear to have sold themselves a little short here. They’re claiming R/T tickets as low as 13,000 SkyMiles, but I found weekly availability on some of those routes for 12,000 SkyMiles R/T such as Boston to JFK.

BOS-JFK from 12,000 SkyMiles RT
BOS-JFK from 12,000 SkyMiles RT

There are also transcontinental flights between Boston and San Francisco. Delta’s landing page states that this should cost 24,000 SkyMiles R/T, but I’m finding availability for 21,000 SkyMiles.

BOS-SFO from 21,000 SkyMiles RT
BOS-SFO from 21,000 SkyMiles RT

Not only are these flights 21,000 SkyMiles, but there’s also direct award availability in both directions.

BOS-SFO direct RT flight for 21,000 SkyMiles outbound
BOS-SFO direct RT flight for 21,000 SkyMiles outbound
BOS-SFO direct RT flight for 21,000 SkyMiles - inbound

If you have some SkyMiles you’re looking to burn, this could be the perfect opportunity. Don’t wait long to book your tickets though as the promotion ends on January 9, 2018.
