Points & miles changing fortunes. Which points are worth more (or less) than before?

Credit Card Trends

I maintain point values (Reasonable Redemption Values) for each of the major travel and credit card points programs.  Most of the values are derived from a mix of empirical data and calculations based on logical assumptions.  The results are objective and unbiased.  Up-to-date numbers can always be found here: . RRVs made it possible for me to create objective estimates of the value of credit card signup bonuses.  From those estimates, I created unbiased credit…

Best Buy gift card deal, extra fuel points, many more @ Kroger

The Kroger family of grocery store brands is running a bunch of gift card deals through 11/27/17 – such as saving $15 on your grocery purchase when you buy $100 or more in Best Buy gift cards — and those deals stack with 4x fuel points on gift cards, which is separately available through 12/12/17. What are hotel points worth? November 2017 reasonable redemption values.

Even though there is no right answer to how much points…

Singapore devalues some, adds online partner booking

Singapore Airlines has announced that as of December 7th, partner awards will be bookable online. That’s exciting news as it means you will no longer need to call in to Singapore Airlines for partner awards. However, along with that news comes a devaluation on a number of partner awards without much notice. Thankfully, most of the changes aren’t massive — and Singapore KrisFlyer miles are pretty easy to come by since they are transfer partners…
