Fishing4Deals: That’s a great idea, but it would take a long time to build up that information! In general, I think the more important thing is to understand the relative value of different rewards & points programs. Some of my favorites are: Starwood, Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, United MileagePlus, and Hyatt. Of course, individual cards also have great perks (Priority Club, Amex Platinum, etc.). I could go on and on…

I value your transparency, Frequent Miler. As a relative newbie, it would be valuable to know are what are the downsides of various credit card offers. I am sure the specifics are buried in the Terms and Conditions but it is hard to wade through all that fine print, and even then, it takes some experience with a particular product to understand the ins and outs.

I follow your blog every day, was wondering if you have any info on the Chase Disney Reward works or best way to churn, my son is still under two, I am was planning to take a big Disney vacation by when he is 4-5, giving myself few year to earn enough reward to do a week of Disney vacation I know the reward counts as Disney Dollars.

Is there a reason why you prefer Ink cards over Amex Simply Cash? It seems like the rewards earning opportunities are comparable. Is it because value the UR points more than cash?

FrequentMiler

Jenn: Yes, I do value UR points more than cash. Also, SimplyCash is limited to $12K of 5% back office supply spend annually whereas Ink Bold and Plus are limited to $50K

You should also provide links to the airline and hotel frequent flier sites if they give you any referral benefit. Being a newbie I would have used some.

Just a gentle reminder that it would be awesome if you could add a page on the topic of churning (the same card). Thank you!!

bluecat: I haven’t forgotten. I have it on my to-do list, but there are lots of other things on that list too!
