Frequent Miler Event Schedule

Upcoming Events

Below are the conferences and other events in which Nick and I plan to attend or speak at in the next 6 months or so.

Monthly

Those in the Southeast Michigan area may also be interested in joining our Ann Arbor Points & Miles Meetup group.  We meet informally every second Wednesday of the month.  Note that I will not be able to attend the July 2017 meetup.  Nick does not usually attend these (he lives in New York).

7/22/17 – 7/23/17 Ann Arbor Art Fair DO (Free!)

Greg and Nick will be there, but we are not scheduled to speak at this event.  Details and registration here.

10/20/17 – 10/22/17 Chicago Seminars ($105)

Greg and Nick will be there to present and discuss a number of topics.  Details and registration here.

  • Saturday 830am – 930am – Using Points & Miles to get to Necker Island (Greg / Frequent Miler) – Greg wasn’t able to make it to the Chicago Seminars last year, he and his wife were busy hanging out with Richard Branson on Necker Island — all done with points. He’ll tell his story and hopefully inspire you to up your commitment to points and miles.
  • Saturday 215pm – 315pm – Honeymoon Destination: Earth (Nick Reyes / Frequent Miler) – How a year of collecting miles and connecting dots led to a 4-month honeymoon around the world and how you can plan the ultimate romantic getaway — whether to beautiful beaches or off the beaten track.
  • Saturday 4pm – 5pm – Ask Me Anything with Frequent Miler (Greg / Frequent Miler) – Greg is an expert on how to pick up mass amounts of points and miles without setting foot on a plane or spending a night in a hotel. Spend an hour picking his brain where you can ask him anything — maybe he’s headed back to Necker?
  • Saturday 515pm – 615pm – Cards with Benefits (Nick Reyes / Frequent Miler) – Rewards-earning cards are much more than the points and miles associated with them. Nick will review everything about leveraging your card’s ancillary benefits to get an outsized value to save you time and money.

11/17 – 11/19 FTU Signature Chicago ($249) and 11/18 FTU Travel Expo ($39)

Greg and Nick will be there to present and discuss a number of topics.

  • Click here for the two day FTU Signature event (through July 31, save $10 with code FTUEARLY)
    • We plan to introduce a new “manufactured spend corner” to this event. The idea is to have a quiet area available for people to discuss manufactured spend techniques outside of the formal presentations.
  • Click here for the one day Travel Expo (through July 31, save $10 with code FTUEARLY)
    • In addition to presenting at this event, we will have a dedicated Frequent Miler area. This should be a great opportunity to meet Greg and Nick to talk one on one.

Comments

  1. Regular sessions vs Advanced. I have not been to a previous FTU event but have been to Europe and Hawaii twice on miles/points. I have read every speakers blog daily for over a year. Skip the regular sessions and sign up for the advanced??

    • Hard to say. I think its a good idea for most people to go to a general FTU at least once, but if you feel that you are already accomplished with booking awards, signing up for credit cards, using shopping portals, etc, then go for Advanced.
