|Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express||25K after $5K spend in first 3 months|
The Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express may not seem like much on the surface. After all, the card offers only 1 point per dollar for spend, or 2 points per dollar at Starwood and Marriott properties. But, SPG points are worth far more than points in most other programs. Here are some examples of great uses of points:
- Book Starwood hotel nights for as little as 2,000 points per night.
- Convert SPG points to Marriott Rewards points at a 1 to 3 ratio. Each SPG point becomes 3 Marriott points!
- Convert SPG points to airline miles at a great ratio. 20,000 SPG points become 25,000 miles!
The card also offers the following perks:
- Get SPG Gold status with $30,000 calendar year spend
- Free Sheraton Club Lounge access at Sheraton properties!
- Free premium internet at SPG properties
- Unlimited Boingo Wifi
- No foreign transaction fees
We don’t know if the SPG card will survive the Marriott merger long-term so its a good idea to get the card soon if you’re interested.
Amex offers a nearly identical personal card, but without the Sheraton Club Lounge benefit. See: Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express.
