Today (Thursday, June 21st) only, eBay is offering $15 off of $75 with coupon code PSUPERSUMMER. While this code won’t work on gift cards, it can be useful for saving 20% on other rarely discounted items (like postage stamps). Unfortunately, eBay has expanded the exclusions to now cover video game consoles and laptops / netbooks.

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Eligible items exclude warranties and protection plans, as well as items from the Video Game Consoles, Laptop & Netbooks, Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate categories
  • One-time use (can have multiple items in your order, but must make one order of $75+ to use the coupon)

Quick Thoughts

According to Dan’s Deals, you can use the coupon multiple times if you use eBay guest checkout. That said, I value my ability to buy and sell on eBay more than a handful of $15 off coupons, so I wouldn’t personally get crazy with that. Dan’s Deals also points out a particularly good use case for a coupon like this: postage stamps. The regular price is $0.50 each, but if you were to buy $75 worth and apply the coupon, you can effectively get 20% off on stamps (plus earn something back in eBay bucks, stack that with portal rewards, and pick up 5x on the Chase Freedom when paying via PayPal if you haven’t yet maxed out this quarter’s bonus categories (which end June 30th). I also find purchases like that (things I will need / consume eventually one way or another) to be good ways to chip away at minimum spend without risk of shut down.
