Plastiq promos end Monday. Last chance for no fee utility payments, and 1.99% fees elsewhere.

Plastiq, a bill payment service that makes it possible to pay almost all bills by credit card (mortgage, rent, professional fees, etc.) has been running a couple of ongoing promotions (click each link for complete details):

As of close of business on Monday (5PM Pacific Time), September 14th each of the above promotions will end.  You can lock in those rates longer term, though, by scheduling repeating payments now.  As long as you schedule the payments while the promos are active, it is my understanding that you’ll continue to pay the promotional rates rather than the usual 2.5% fees that Plastiq usually charges.  If you make a change to a scheduled payment, though, fees will be re-priced.

Signed up for promo on 2 accounts(wife and mine), neither reflect the 0% when scheduling 6 or more Utility payments. Sent them an email 5 minutes ago but who knows if I’ll hear back before the promo ends this evening.

That was it! Oddly enough it would not keep my selection of my Mastercard until I deleted my Amex. Worked perfectly after that. Thanks!

I did a test Mortgage payment with an AmEx card and it Took a long time getting out to Wells Fargo by physical check but it did wor. I will now schedule repeating payments a lot earlier. It worked for me.

PLASTIC : Schedule repeat payments.

Every month, I set up a repeat payment to a vendor.
If in 2nd month I change credit card, will the promoted fee (1.99%) will be changed to 2.5%?

Please advise ASAP before deadline Monday.

Thank you.

Thomas

Just wanted to outline my own experience with Plastiq on a Mortgage payment:

8/26 – created and sent ACH payment (with Amex) to FlagStar Bank

8/26 – Plastiq successfully processed Amex card

9/01 – Plastiq indicates payment completed and that FlagStar has received payments electronically

~~~~wooohooo~~~~
9/04 – received email from Plastiq indicating that the payment failed due to FlagStar notice stating “NO ACCOUNT FOUND” … refund issued by Plastiq
——————————————-
well, not sure what the problem was as I use the same information with ChargeSmart and Serve and it processes perfectly fine each time.
Luckily, I had loaded my Serve and kept the funds handy in case this test failed.
I was going to give Plastiq another try using the check method later in the month….
anybody sucessfully paid FlagStar with Plastiq?
I have had nothing but trouble with Plastiq and am disappointed that you continue to promote them. Delayed payments, scheduled payments not sent, poor/no communication. It almost cost me a late mortgage payment, I had to pony up my own funds to cover it since the Plastiq payment was so delayed. Everyone should stay far away from this one.
