Save 18% on Starbucks, Free coffee at Wawa

6

There are a couple of good coffee deals brewing this morning — including 18% off on Starbucks Gift Cards at Giftme and free coffee at Wawa (a regional convenience store chain).

giftme starbucks

Deal 1 – Starbucks

  • Flash sale at Giftme: Starbucks cards are 18% off

Key Terms

  • GiftMe guarantees cards for 7 days after purchase.
  • Limited-time deal (I believe this ends tonight)
  • GiftMe only sells cards through their Android and iOS mobile apps. You can find download links on their website.
  • After downloading the app and adding a payment method, it can take up to 24 hours for that payment method to be validated (the process includes sending a picture of the front and back of your credit card through the app)
  • Once your payment method has been verified, gift card purchases should be isntant

Quick Thoughts

I haven’t personally purchased from Giftme before, but 18% is a nice savings on Starbucks cards. Be aware that Giftme only guarantees these cards for 7 days, so I wouldn’t buy more than I plan to use in that time, Also note that the terms state that Starbucks gift cards from the Giftme app should not be transferred onto a personal Starbucks account.

Nick, thanks so much for your detailed response. Your comparison to a punch card was super helpful. And believe me, I am all about saving a few bucks, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. 🙂

I understand not wanting to buy more Starbucks value than you can use in a week, but if you load the gift card to your Starbucks account, doesn’t the value then live into perpetuity? 🙂

Ryan

I think the issue is if Starbucks flags the original gift card as purchased fraudulently (ie – stolen CC, chargeback) and you moved the balance to your main account, your main account can get shut down.

Ryan, thanks for the info. This makes sense.

But then I don’t understand the point of this promotion; how much coffee can a person drink in a week? Save $3.60 on a $20 gift card? What am I missing?
