I made a few in-store purchases over the weekend. I remembered to check for in-store cash back on one store that wasn’t listed (Babies R Us) — but we bought chocolate for the whole family at Lindt and I didn’t realize we left some money on the table by not using a card linked to in-store cash back. They say that the day after Christmas is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. If you’re among those shopping, it’s worth stacking these payouts with whatever promotions are currently being offered. Remember that you could alternatively earn miles through United or Alaska, or you could use the Mileage Plus X app to buy store discounts and earn miles. You might do even better with some of the resources on our Instant Gift Card Deals page, so check that as well if you need an instant gift card in-store and the discount works out right.
