The United Mileage Plus Shopping portal is offering increased payouts at a number of retailers today, including 10x at Sears, 10x at Macy’s, 15x at eBags, and more.

Always make sure to compare pauouts using a tool like CashBackMonitor. As you’ll see there, some of these payouts are quite a bit better than normal. For example, Sears is currently at 10x. We haven’t seen a double-digit mileage pauout at Sears since last May according to the 15-month historical rates at CashBackMonitor.:
Also check out other portals for some increased rates. For example, Macy’s is at 10x through both United and American.
Also keep in mind that United has a shopping portal bonus going on right now, as do American and Alaska (See: Shopping portal bonuses w/ American, United, Alaska, and British Airways). While the American and Alaska bonuses end today (3/19/18), the United bonus is on for a few more days (until 3/23/18). Be sure to take those bonuses into account when comparing rates.

Does the United Portal count gift cards towards the total bonus? This could be 12x+ if you include the Mileage PlusX App!
Even better idea is to use United shopping portal to buy Macy’s or Sears gift cards from Staples first. United shopping portal is one of the few that seems to track the points even for GC purchases. I first used United shopping portal to buy a $100 Macy’s gift card from Staples (500 UR for using Ink, and 200 United for using the portal), and then spent the card at Macy’s via the United shopping portal (1,000 United). Ended up with 1,700 points in total.
