For the past couple of months, Acorns has been offering users a share of $100,000 when referring at least five new users. This month, Acorns is offering a guaranteed $1,000 bonus again, although there are more stringent requirements.
The Deal
- Invite 12 friends to join Acorns in May and they’ll invest $1,000 in your Acorns account.
Key Terms
- Friends must sign up on or after 5/01/2018, have an account in good standing and make their first investment by 5/31/2018.
- Bonuses are paid out by 6/15/2018.
- Referrals who close their account before 6/15/2018, or make an investment that results in a chargeback, will not qualify for the promotion.
Quick Thoughts
This is a more generous promotion than the past couple of months as you’re guaranteed the $1,000 when referring enough new members. The challenge will be referring a dozen new users though seeing as the referral promotions for March and April only required five referrals (albeit with a lower bonus).
If you refer 12 friends who sign up for Acorns, you’d actually end up with $1,060. That’s because you earn $5 per referral in addition to the $1,000 when you reach 12 referrals.

does anyone know what people ended up with after the $100k split months? just curious. Ibotta is offering the same thing this month, but only requires 2 referrals.
I think March was ~$550; April’s hasn’t been awarded yet, so it’d be another couple of weeks until that’s credited to people’s accounts.
