Earlier on this afternoon we shared a hot business class award from JFK to Europe and back across the Atlantic to French Guiana.

If you’d rather head in the opposite direction and visit the Maldives and are happy flying in Economy, there’s a great deal out of JFK costing less than $700.

The Deal

  • Fly from JFK to MLE on China Eastern Airlines from $674.

Key Terms

  • Select dates in November and December.

Quick Thoughts

Secret Flying shared this deal and found some dates with cheap flights. For example, November 29 to December 7 is pricing out at $674.

If you’d like to spend Thanksgiving Day in the Maldives, that same price is available when leaving JFK on November 19 and returning on the 28th. That’d give you seven nights in the Maldives as you’d arrive on the 21st.

If you have Hilton Honors points to burn, the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island offers Water Villas as a standard award and cost 95,000 points per night. That’s a lot, but you’ll get the 5th night free if you have any kind of status with Hilton – even Silver.

If you have the relatively new Amex Hilton Aspire card, you’d be able to use up this year’s $250 resort credit when staying at the Conrad Maldives. Even if you’re booking an award stay, you’ll still have to pay for food on site and seaplane transfers. As this flight deal is for dates in November and December, it’s unfortunately not possible to double dip both 2018 and 2019 resort credits like Nick recently discovered.
