I’m far from an expert on using Aegean Miles & Bonus miles, but the award chart for flights on Aegean and Olympic Air looks pretty simple:
They essentially have a set price for domestic awards (5K basic economy / 7.5K economy / 10K business) and then distance-based pricing for international awards (8x / 10x / 15x mileage flown with minimums of 7K for basic economy, 9K economy, or 15K business class).
Considering the fact that Aegean only operates in Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East, I don’t see many standout values if you’re planning travel in advance (since flights within Europe are often quite cheap). However, if you’re looking for a last-minute flight or during peak dates, those rates could certainly be attractive — and taking 30% off makes them a bit better yet. I visited Crete in Greece earlier this year (for my trip to Domes of Elounda) and waited until the last minute to book. A week or so before travel, prices were sufficiently high that I’d have considered a sale like this (and in hindsight, maybe I should have even considered transferring from Marriott).
Aegean is a Marriott Bonvoy transfer partner, which means that you can transfer from Marriott at a rate of 3 Marriott Bonvoy points to 1 Aergean mile. If you transfer 60K Marriott points, you’ll get a 5K bonus for 25K total miles.
All that said, you should definitely check cash prices first since in many instances you won’t be getting a great deal for your miles. The one situation where I find intra-European business class more attractive is if you’ve got heavy bags to check. Business class might be worth it to you for the additional baggage allowance.
