Alliant Cashback Visa Signature Card

Alliant Cashback Visa Signature Card

FM Mini Review: Good cash back card for everyday spend as long as your expenses do not exceed $10K per month. Lack of foreign transaction fees is a positive.

Card Type: Visa Signature

Base
2.5%

Earning rate: 2.5% cash back everywhere up to $250 back per billing cycle (Note that some purchases, like those from GiftCards.com, are not eligible for cash back)

Noteworthy perks: No foreign transaction fees

Overview

The Alliant Cashback Visa Signature credit card offers a leading rate of return in terms of cash back for purchases. That said, the cap of $250 per billing cycle combined with the $99 annual fee mean that the actual max return is about 2.4%. If you spend less than $20K per year on the card, your net cash back after taking the annual fee into account will be less than 2%, so this card is best for those who spend between $20K and $120K per year and never exceed $10K in purchases in a billing cycle.
