FM Mini Review: This card is basically the same as the Spark Cash for Business, but rewards are intended to be used to offset travel purchases. One big advantage over cash back: Capital One allows transfering their "miles" to airline miles at a 2 to 1.5 ratio and "miles" can be combined with other cards or other customers.

Card Type: Visa Signature

Base
Travel

Earning rate: 2X everywhere ⚬ Earn 5X miles on hotel and rental car
bookings through Capital One Travel

Noteworthy perks: Redeem miles for travel at value of 1 cent per mile ⚬ Convert "miles" to airline miles at a (mostly) 2 to 1.5 ratio ⚬ No foreign transaction fees ⚬ Fee credit for either $85 TSA Pre✓® application fee or $100 Global Entry application fee

Overview

It's rare to find a business rewards card with great rewards for all spend. This one offers 2 miles per dollar everywhere. Miles are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for travel. Simply use the card to pay for any travel expenses, and then log onto your account and apply miles to offset your statement charges. In other words, the Capital One Spark Miles for Business card is essentially a 2% rewards card.

Things get more interesting now that Capital One Miles are transferable to airline miles. Since the transfer ratio is 2 to 1.5, you can think of this card as earning your choice of 2% everywhere OR 1.5 airline miles everywhere.

More information about Capital One transfer partners can be found here.

Additional benefits of this card include no foreign transaction fees, travel and emergency assistance services, purchase protections, and more.
