Nick or Greg, in a recent Frequent Miler roundtable video it was mentioned that you were able to get the 35k anniversary cert for your Bonvoy Boundless as well as the 85k cert for your Ritz when you upgraded. They mentioned that it was somethin in the timing of the upgrade. Could you explain how that worked?

Also, did you look into getting the Bonvoy Brilliant prior to upgrading? I had thought to wait until year 2 to upgrade as I will be out of the 90 days:24 months zone. The other option is could 1.) I upgrade now, 2.) downgrade back to Boundless ahead of the 90 days next year, 3.) get the Bonvoy Brilliant (and possibly Bonvoy Business), then 4.) upgrade back to the Ritz to try and get all the SUBs. It might largley depend on Chase and Bonvoy allowing me to upgrade now then downgrade after 6 months or so. I’m very interested in your thoughts.

Hi, I have just called Chase about my Chase Ritz Carlton Card. I told them I would like to enroll in Priority Pass. (I have been eyeing their PP with unlimited guests.) The person speaking to me saying I’m not eligible because I am not meeting 1st year anniversary of Chase Ritz Carlton. In short, he said this benefit is not listed in the system.

Can anyone help me out with this? Is there anything I misunderstand?
If he is right, where is the announcement about this the change? It should be a huge change…..
Does anybody direct me where I can see all the benefits offered by Chase Ritz Carlton. (Amex is WAY better and clear in this and makes the users experience easier.)

Nick Reyes

That doesn’t sound right. I’d call again.

Chase actually changed things several months ago and made it very easy to see your benefits. Log into your account, click on your Ritz card, and find the button that says “See benefits” (it might be listed under “more”, I can’t recall at the moment). They have a full list of benefits right online.

YY Fung

>.< Not listed in the Benefits Page at all.

Its why I sent a question a couple months ago where/ how to get this PP as there was nothing mentioned in June. Nor is there now.

What benefits appear on Card Benefits page on Chase.com? I attached what I have currently in my Chase RC benefits Information.

Greg The Frequent Miler

You’re right that it’s not listed, but I agree with Nick: you should call again. My bet is that the first person you spoke with was misinformed.

FM Fan

Did we ever get clarity on this? I just recently product changed into this card mainly because of this benefit and I also cannot see this listed. Any update on this?

Greg The Frequent Miler

Did you try calling to ask to enroll in Priority Pass? I believe it should work.

Brayler

I had the same thing happen to me and I they even asked me if I wanted priority pass. I answered yes, and nothing happened for two weeks. Called back and then they sent me the card (they at least rushed the delivery)

Captain Greg

Does each authorized user also get a global entry fee credit every four years? Or is that only for the primary cardholder?

Greg The Frequent Miler

I think that’s only for the primary user, but I’m not 100% sure

Captain Greg

The terms and conditions say “$100 statement credit will be processed after the Global Entry program application fee is charged to an eligible card. Holders of eligible cards are entitled to one (1) $100 statement credit per card every 4 years in connection with the Global Entry program application fee. ” So, it seems like it probably is per card? It probably won’t be an issue, but this is a keeper card for me so I’d like to know that I always have this fee covered for me and my family (with authorized user cards) while I keep giving away the credits on my other (short-term) cards to friends. The thing that concerns me is that sometimes chase gives the exact same card number, exp. date and cvv code on authorized user cards. Can you confirm if your Ritz AU’s have the same or different numbers (I haven’t upgraded to the card yet)? Thank you!

Rod S

Authorized User cards for the Ritz-Carlton Chase Visa all have the same card number, expiration date, and CCV code.

Rod S

I called Chase Ritz-Carlton today to ask about the $100 credit for Global Entry.
I was told that a credit would only be allowed for the following programs:
TSA Precheck, Nexus, & Sentri.

Is that any way to verify that Global Entry is no longer covered?

Ryan

Rod – I find that really interesting, because the info page specifically says Global Entry is covered and doesn’t say anything about NEXUS or Sentri. https://creditcards.chase.com/marriott/cardmember/ritz-carlton/benefits

Rod S

That’s a good reference that you provided! Thank you.
Previously, I found several other references to the card benefits but none so specific as what you provided. Even the printed benefits guide that is sent with the card didn’t provide information about the Global Entry benefit.

YY Fung

I have got the product change from Chase Marriot Boundless to Chase Ritz Carlton.
In the benefits page, I can’t find “Priority Pass”. Can anyone tell me if this benefit goes away? If this benefit still exists, can anyone show where?
(I have AMEX platinum and their page shows it and how to enroll. But on Chase page, it is not the case.)

Greg The Frequent Miler

The benefit is still there. Simply secure message Chase and ask for your Priority Pass card for you and each authorized user.
