Through August 15, 2016, Aeroplan is offering up to 55,000 bonus miles when you convert points from a partner into their program. Unfortunately American Express Membership Rewards transfers are excluded.

Bonus Tiers

The transfer bonus is cumulative, meaning you can transfer points in from various programs and earn the bonus. One of the more popular eligible transfer partners for this promotion is SPG. With Starpoints you get a 5K bonus with every 20K transferred, meaning 20K Starpoints normally equals 25K Aeroplan Miles. Under this promotion:

  • 20K Starpoints = 29K Aeroplan Miles
  • 40K Starpoints = 60K Aeroplan Miles
  • 60K Starpoints = 85K Aeroplan Miles
  • 80K Starpoints = 125K Aeroplan Miles

Key Terms

  • Miles received from the conversion of other loyalty program points to Aeroplan Miles are not eligible for status in the Aeroplan program.
  • Bonus offer valid only on conversions received from other hotel loyalty program points to Aeroplan Miles, made between July 11, 2016, and August 15, 2016 (11:59 EDT).
  • Maximum 55,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles can be earned per Aeroplan Member.
  • Conversion of Membership Rewards® points from American Express Cardmember accounts into Aeroplan Miles are not eligible for this promotion.
