American Airlines’ oneworld partner Air Berlin is offering four months of their topbonus Silver status for signing up for a new account.
The Offer

- Simply register for an account free of charge.
- You will receive the topbonus Silver Card for a test period of 4 months.
- If you accumulate 8,500 status miles or 8 airberlin and NIKI flights within these 4 months, your Silver status will extended for another 12 months.

Both Air Berlin and American Airlines are members of the oneworld Alliance and Air Berlin’s silver equates to oneworld Ruby status. With oneworld Ruby you get:

I emailed them asking about it.
I received
“In your topbonus account is no company e-mail address.
However, a corporate e-mail is a prerequisite for this action. Additional changes to the e-mail address are not accepted.”
I asked for more clarification, as I did sign up with my company email address, which matches the address on my XING account.
Did they honour the promotion after making the changes required?
I’ve just done what they have requested. Not sure if they will honour.
