While both bonuses are relatively small, you will want to keep them in mind when compariong portals with a tool like CashBackMonitor.com in case these bonuses tip the scales in favor of one of these portals. Bottom line

Neither of these bonuses are good enough to be a major draw on their own, but if you are making a purchase anyway, it always makes sense to maximize your rewards through promotions like these and to consider your total portal payout including a bonus mile this when decided wihich portal to use.

Many exclusions to Kohl’s. Was shopping for new Levis for husband (buy 1, get 2nd 1/2 off), and after seeing this post, I went thru the American portal. Before the click thru actually opened the Kohl’s site, a list of restrictions which flashed on the screen. I had to click thru several times to try to get a screenshot of the restrictions (unsuccessful), but I was finally able to “copy” the restrictions. My intended purchase of Levis would not qualify:

“Not eligible on credit card sales made through coupon codes that are higher than 20%. Not eligible on portion of sale made with Kohl’s Cash or YES2YOU Rewards. Not eligible on the purchase of Nutribullets, including 600-watt/900-watt Nutribullet Blenders (all colors). Qualifying customer purchases include all sale-, regular- and clearance-priced merchandise, except for the following exclusions: KohlÂ’s Cares® cause merchandise and other charitable items; select Online-Exclusives; Sporting Goods and Sports Team Merchandise; Premium Sunglasses; Electronics brands including Beats, LG, Monster, Philips, SOL Republic, Sony and Toshiba; Prestige brands of cosmetics and skincare, Prestige brands of fragrance including Action Solutions for Men, Borghese, BOSS, Cargo, H2O+, Hydroxatone, Il Baccio, Lorac, PUR Minerals, theBalm, Zirh; and select brands including American Girl, Columbia, Converse. Dyson, Koolaburra by UGG, LeviÂ’s, Nike, Under Armour. Not eligible on jewelry and watch purchases with original pricing that exceeded $2,000. Not eligible on the following codes: Any that begin with THANKS or CSC, SMS9646, MVCSAVE, KCTAKE15, SAVE15KC 15MVCKC, SUNNYDAYZ, RELAXNSUN. Not eligible on price adjustments on prior purchases, shipping, taxes, or other service fees. Orders via Apple Pay are not eligible. Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents.”

I’m not sure if the restrictions will be enforced, but it’s worth noting to check out the restrictions, which are not easy to see.
