Alaska Airlines is running an award ticket flash sale, with some routes on sale for as few as 5,000 miles and $5.60 one-way. You’ll need to compare against paid prices to be sure you’re getting a deal. You’ll need to book by December 14th for travel from January 7, 2020 to March 11, 2020.

Quick Thoughts

There are quite a few deals to be found in this sale. Alaska lists some examples, but these are definitely not the only deals:

a screenshot of a flight scheduleWhen you choose a city from the drop-down on the landing page, you’ll find many more deals. There are transcons for 10K out of both New York and Boston (not shown here, but many of the same deals):

Deals abound out of Seattle. I count thirty one (31!!) cities available from 5K miles and $5.60 one way to/from Seattle (and several more at 6K / 7.5K / 8K / 9K / 10K).

If you’re considering travel during the promotional period, these deals could come in handy. Again, check against paid prices as I imagine the cheapest awards are likely on routes / dates that are less expensive. Still, it shouldn’t be hard to get good value on some of these routes.
