Quick Thoughts

If you do see the ad, you can click through for more details. Essentially, if targeted, you will earn a promotional credit depending on how much you spend through the Amazon app July 16, 2019 only:

  • Spend $100, get a $10 promotional credit
  • Spend $200, get a $22 promotional credit
  • Spend $500, get a $60 promotional credit

The promotional credit will be sent on July 19, 2019 and expire on July 31, 2019, so beware that you’ll need to use it quickly. As is typically the case with Amazon promotional credits, the credit will only be valid on items shipped and sold by Amazon.

The terms don’t seem to exclude gift card purchases. It’s anybody’s guess as to whether purchases of gift cards, whether Amazon or 3rd-party, will trigger these bonuses. However, it could be a great deal if so.

If you’re going to be purchasing any of today’s Prime Day Deals, you’ll also want to consider whether they are in a category covered by a shopping portal. Check CashBackMonitor and click through to the various portals to see which Amazon departments are covered. However, if you’re making a purchase outside of the categories that earn portal rewards and/or the promotional credit is worth more to you, then it’s worth considering ordering through the app today. Stacking this with one of the other site-wide offers covered in our Prime Day Deals post could certainly make for an excellent deal.

Is anyone else but getting their $60 bonus? Amazon chat is useless. They are saying it had to be purchased all in one order. Though I should have at least gotten$22 but didn’t get that either

Wow, really? No I haven’t gotten it and they have been absolutely useless
