Amex adds Delta status boost tracker

Here’s a nice little surprise from Amex.  Delta Reserve and Delta Platinum cardholders will now see a Status Boost Tracker when they log in to American Express.  Each of these cards offers MQDs (Medallion Qualifying Miles) with big spend.  MQDs are helpful for earning Delta elite status.  It used to be difficult to know whether you’ve spent enough to reach the big spend thresholds, but not anymore!

Here’s what the Delta Reserve Status Tracker looks like:

These trackers should be visible along the right side of your account screen when you log in via the web.  The Status Tracker doesn’t yet appear within the Amex app (as far as I can tell).

American Express has been doing something similar with the $15,000 needed to be spent on the Hilton Surpass card to receive a free night certificate. I was running my own calculations, and the tracker seems pretty accurate–it just lags spending by about two or three days.
