There’s a new Amex Offer out today for Walmart Online Grocery: Spend $25+, get 500 additional Membership Rewards points or $5 back depending on which version of the offer you have on your card. Either way, it’s a nice little savings on groceries if you shop at Walmart.

Notes: The terms on this one clearly state that it is only valid at grocery.walmart.com. The terms explicitly exclude Walmart.com orders, though in practice I’m not sure how this one will work.
Bottom line
You should be able to at least add the Membership Rewards offer and cash back offer one time each, so this one should be good for at least two orders per cardholder. I get groceries at Walmart sometimes, and I love the convenience of ordering online and picking up, so I’ll likely put this one to use. The terms indicate that a Walmart.com order will not qualify, but a grocery.walmart.com order will qualify. If this truly does code differently, I wonder how it codes for credit card category purposes. I look forward to finding out.
