The recent Amex Offers for FedEx expired on November 30th, but a new round has popped up on most Amex business credit cards, once again good for 10% back on FedEx Office (print services) and 10% back on FedEx freight (up to $1,000 back on each). I also received an offer for 25% back on FedEx shipping (up to $1K back). That could add up to some nice savings for those who ship a lot during the holiday period.

While I suppose these are technically targeted, I received the following offers on Amex business cards:

With this being the busy time of year for most people selling just about anything, an offer to save on shipping could be a welcome sight for those who are able to get decent shipping rates when purchasing through FedEx. I’ve never priced out FedEx freight, so I don’t know whether or not they compare favorably enough to competitors to make the offer worthwhile, but the next time I freight ship something I’ll check it out.
Keep in mind that the terms on the FedEx Office offer limit the statement credit to print services purchases. I haven’t tested it recently on anything else, but I seem to remember a payment for using the computer (and then also printing documents) triggering Amex OPEN savings in the past (that program has since been discontinued). I wouldn’t count on anything other than print services triggering the offer, but I think it’s at least possible that other in-store purchases would work.
You’ll want to be sure to add these before making purchases. They are valid until May 31, 2019, so it looks like Amex is intending to renew these offers every six months or so. It’s unfortunate that it’s not automatic like the Amex OPEN Savings program was (now you have to add the offers and presumably can only do so with one card), but the increased discounts might make up for the inconvenience.

I received one last year with 25% and used it a lot. This year, they only offered me 15% (which expired Nov 2018). Now, they were only offering me 10%. At this rate, I get better rate shipping with UPS. I suppose Amex started off with a big bait (25%) and ended with a small bait (10%).
I’ve added these offers to my card. They are now listed under the “Added to Card” tab. If I click the offer in that tab (say, to review the details), a “Redeem Now” button appears. Do i need to do something here? Only after maximizing the offer?
