This page contains the best publicly available credit card offers. With some of the offers shown below (the one’s with a credit card image), I’ll earn a commission if you click through and are approved for the card. That said, if a better public offer is available, I always show the better offer even if it means no commissions for me. For additional details, see our Advertiser Disclosure. Advertiser partners include American Express, Barclays, Capital One, and CreditCards.com
One way in which banks try to encourage spending on their credit cards is by offering bonus points or perks for high spend. This page lists our picks for the best spend bonuses. Below the list, you’ll also find a table containing all big spend bonuses in our database. By default, the table only shows the first 10 cards, but you can search, click “Next”, search, or use the drop-down to increase the number of displayed cards.

Ritz Carlton Rewards Visa Infinite Card from Chase
The Ritz Carlton Rewards program is identical to Marriott Rewards. In fact, when signing up for this card, you can enter your Marriott Rewards number in the application. This means that the Ritz card makes it possible to earn Marriott Gold or Platinum status through spend. And, with the Marriott and SPG merger, that means you’ll also get SPG Gold or Platinum status. Further, if you get Marriott Platinum status, you can simply sign up for RewardsPlus to get automatic United Silver status!
Delta Platinum and Reserve Cards from American Express
Delta is the only major airline that makes it possible to earn high level status through credit card spend alone. They offer four separate cards that, together, make it possible to earn up to 100,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles per year. If you were thinking of booking extra flights just to get or keep status, consider using one or more of these cards to “mileage run from home” instead.
JetBlue Cards from Barclaycard
With $50,000 spend on either of these cards, you’ll earn JetBlue Mosaic status. Mosaic status gives you (among other perks): no change or cancellation fees (that’s huge), and free inflight beverages including cocktails, wine, and beer.
Hilton Honors Ascend Card from American Express
Earn top tier Diamond status with $40K spend.
Southwest Credit Cards from Chase
Southwest Airline’s Companion Pass is arguably the single best ongoing travel deal around. Once you get the companion pass, you can add a companion for free (after TSA fees) to any Southwest flight that you’ve purchased with points or with cash.
Radisson Rewards cards from US Bank (former Club Carlson Rewards cards)
Radisson Rewards credit cards (currently being re-branded from Club Carlson Rewards as of 3/5/18) offer a free night at any US property after each $10K annual spend up to $30,000 for a maximum of 3 free nights. Sadly, there aren’t very many desirable Club Carlson properties in the US, but there are a few (the Radisson Blu Chicago, and the Radisson Hotel & Suites Dowtown Austin are a couple of good ones I’ve stayed at). Each of these cards will give you a free night after each $10K annual spend up to $30K. You’ll also earn 5X points for that spend, plus 40,000 bonus points each year, so you should have more than enough points to turn the free night into a free long-weekend.
Amtrak Guest Rewards World MasterCard from BOA
This one offers a unique benefit: with $20K annual spend you are then allowed to transfer up to 25,000 points to hotel partners. This is particularly valuable for the ability to transfer 1 to 3 to Choice Privileges. 25,000 Amtrak points becomes 75,000 Choice points.
AT&T Access More Card from Citi
This card earns ThankYou points at the following rates: 3X for AT&T purchases, 3X for online retail and travel sites, 1X everywhere else. Since this card offers 10K bonus points with $10K annual spend, it then earns 4X for some purchases and 2X everywhere else if you spend exactly $10K annually. And, if you (or a friend) also has a Citi Premier or Citi Prestige card, you can transfer points to a number of airline programs to get more value from your points (see: Citi Transfer Partners).
Best Western Rewards Premium Mastercard from First Bankcard
This card offers 20,000 bonus points after $5K cardmember year spend, every year. Since this card already offers 2 points per dollar for all spend, you’ll get 30,000 points each year if you spend exactly $5,000. Best Western free night stays range from 8,000 to 36,000 points per night, so you should have enough for at least one free night at most properties.
Search this table using keywords such as:
- Elite Status
- Bonus Points
- Companion (for companion tickets)
- Free Night
Also, limit results to your program of interest by searching for “Marriott”, “United”, “SPG”, etc.
