If you’re looking to escape the winter chill, flights to Cancun are on sale today from a number of US Cities on United — and these aren’t basic economy fares. Thrifty Traveler Premium reports fares as low as $169 RT from Houston$197 RT from Chicago$231 from Washington DC, and several more. The cheapest prices are available via airfare metasearch site Momondo, though it’s easier to search for cheap dates with Google Flights first. Some examples follow — head over to Google Flights to search for cities and dates (and see our guide for How to find great business class fares with Google Flights as the tips in that post apply to economy class as well). Alternatively, some of these flights show up via Chase Ultimate Rewards — making your escape to paradise pretty cheap in terms of points.

Houston to Cancun from $169 RT

Chicago go Cancun from $197

Or via Google Flights for $214

You can also find some of these flights via Chase Ultimate Rewards from 14,213 points round trip if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Deals are available from a number of other cities, including:

Miami to Cancun from $200
Washington DC to Cancun from $231

Bottom line

Some of these prices are excellent, especially for dates that include popular spring break travel periods from some cities. Availability varies based on city, but low fares are generally available from now through April 2018. Again, head to Google Flights to find cheap dates and then you may be able to save a few bucks more via Momondo (or book via your favorite search engine / rewards program).
