Hertz Devalues Points With Immediate Effect – 50-70% Devaluation In Some Instances

Hertz loyalists have just been Bonvoyed. Anyone holding Hertz points due to their previously great value might now be ruing saving them up as they’ve been devalued overnight, up to 70% in some cases. I rarely have to rent a car, so I’m not too familiar with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards. My knowledge of it has been largely comprised of people raving about how much the points are worth. Be sure to check out Brian’s…

Two new Escape lounges: Providence & Ontario

Escape Lounges announced this week that they have added two new lounges: one at T.F. Green Airport (PVD – Providence, RI) and another at Ontario International Airport (ONT – Ontario, California). This is good news for Amex Platinum cardholders (including both personal and Business Platinum cardholders), who get access for the cardholder plus two guests. Escape Lounges in general are quite nice and feature better food and drinks than many domestic lounges, so if you’ve got a…

Is the Radisson business card gone?

US Bank has long issued three version of the Radisson credit cards: The Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature, the Radisson Rewards Visa Signature, and the Radisson Rewards Business Visa Card. However, the business version of the card has been removed from the site with no known working links to the card or further information. We reached out to our contacts for clarification, but have not heard back. For now, it seems that the Radisson Business Visa…

Is Delta restricting partner space during flash sales?

This morning, Greg posted all about how to book Delta flights using Virgin Atlantic miles. The timing on that post seemed perfect because Delta is currently running its latest flash sale, with round trip flights to Europe for 128K miles round trip when you book by Saturday, May 11th for summertime travel. Generally, these flash sale seats have also been available for partner bookings via partners like Air France or Virgin Atlantic (the latter offering terrific value…

Marriott Homes & Villas live at .7 cents per point

Marriott has partnered with select vacation home property management companies to provide access to premium & luxury vacation homes around the world.  You can search and book homes on their Homes & Villas website: www.homesandvillasbymarriott.com.  At the time of this writing, I’ve been unable to find any properties outside of the US that available on dates that I select.  I keep getting this: Hopefully, that’s just a temporary glitch.  Within the US, the website seems…

The Difference Between Raise’s ‘Cash Back’ & ‘Discount’ Gift Cards

Raise Logo

Nick just covered the great deal on gift cards sold on Raise as you can earn 20% cashback when clicking through from TopCashback. There appears to have been some confusion regarding which cards qualify for the 20% cashback, primarily due to the somewhat unclear wording used by TopCashback. One issue is that TopCashback mentions the following term: Gift Card Listings will receive no cashback. This doesn’t mean that buying gift cards listed on Raise is…

Did Amex drop the bomb on Simon purchases?

Last night, Miles to Memories reported that Amex may no longer be paying out points on Simon Mall purchases. We have since received and reviewed further reports indicating that it looks like Amex is no longer awarding points for Simon Mall purchases. While I initially thought it seemed a little early to call it on this one, there are enough similar data points that I wouldn’t use an Amex for gift card purchases at Simon…

Discover Adds Additional 5% Categories For Q3 & Q4 2019 – PayPal, Target & Walmart.com

Discover Q3 Q4 2019 PayPal Target & Walmartdotcom

Discover has added a few new retailers with whom you can earn 5% during Q3 and Q4 of 2019. It should now be much easier for everyone to max out the $1,500 limit each quarter. Q3 – PayPal Added Restaurants was previously the only Q3 category due to earn 5%. For many people, having that as the sole category would’ve been hard to max out as it would require spending an average of $500 per…
