Chase Pay is offering a “happy hour” today, 1/9/19 only: save $5 when you order ahead or pay in-store with a QR code at restaurants from 5pm-6pm. Again, that offer is only valid on Wednesday, January 9th from 5pm-6pm or when supplies run out. That’s a small win, but free food is free food.

The Deal

  • Chase Pay is offering $5 off your meal when you order ahead or use a QR code to check out in-store at select restaurants between 5pm-6pm 1/9/19 only

Key Details

  • One per customer
  • Valid 1/9/19 only from 5pm-6pm or when offers run out

Quick Thoughts

Keep in mind that restaurants that accept Chase Pay are pretty limited. You’ll want to log in to the Chase Pay app (new users note that this is not the Chase mobile app that you use to log into your Chase account but rather a separate Chase Pay app) and then clear “Find”. Eligible restaurants will be shown under “nearby” or “order ahead”. Examples of some places I’ve seen that would be eligible for this offer include Five Guys, Tropical Smoothie, TCBY, and 16 Handles. YMMV of course in larger areas. Five bucks won’t get you a whole meal, but saving money is always nice. I think this should stack with the offer to get a $10 meal credit after using Chase Pay for restaurants 3 times by January 31st (that offer has a minimum order of $5 each time — I’m not positive whether that’s $5 after the happy hour savings or before.

See How to use Chase Pay in-store if you’re planning to use a QR code in-store (note that some restaurants are order-ahead-only, so check the Chase Pay app to see whether they take QR codes or only orders paid ahead of time).
