Citi: Get 30% Bonus Transferring ThankYou Points To Virgin Atlantic

Citi is offering a 30% bonus when transferring ThankYou points to Virgin Atlantic. They’ve also helpfully provided an end date for the transfer bonus, so there’s no need to transfer right now if you don’t have an immediate use for them.

Citi Virgin Atlantic 30% ThankYou Point Transfer Bonus

The Deal

  • Get a 30% bonus when transferring Citi ThankYou points to Virgin Atlantic.

Key Terms

  • Expires June 22, 2019 at 11:59pm ET.

Quick Thoughts

One of the nice features of this transfer bonus is the fact that Citi has provided an end date for it. With the bonus ending on June 22, you have almost five weeks to take advantage of it, so there’s no need to transfer speculatively right now.

Amex is also offering a 30% Membership Rewards transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic at the moment, so it’s good to have a choice of two flexible currencies offering a bonus.

Be sure to check out that post about the Amex transfer bonus as Nick gave some great examples of Virgin Atlantic sweet spots that are applicable to this bonus offered by Citi. For example, you could transfer 85,000 ThankYou points to Virgin Atlantic in order to book round trip flights in ANA first class from the west coast. That’s a stellar deal and just one example of why it’s useful having a variety of transferable currencies.
