Delta is running a flash sale on awards flights to Asia (Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo) that ends tonight (12/6/18) at 11:59pm ET, with prices from 30K round trip and Premium Select from 50K round trip for travel from March 1st – May 31st, 2019. Whenever they run these flash sales, I find deals from cities beyond those advertised, so it’s worth checking flights from your city even if it isn’t in their example list.

Quick Thoughts
Delta has been running constant flash sales lately, and like others this one presents decent value. Here are some example cities on Delta’s landing page:
Paying just 30K round trip plus taxes from Los Angeles to Shanghai or 35K from Atlanta or Boston looks like a pretty solid deal. Premium Select from Atlanta or Boston to China from 65K also looks like a really nice balance between good value for your SkyMiles and a little extra comfort without the price of business class — though note that if you’re transferring from Membership Rewards, it might not cost you much more than these Premium Select prices to fly round trip in business class on ANA if you transferred to ANA instead. If, on the other hand, you’re flush with SkyMiles, this isn’t a bad way to use them.
Just remember that you only have until 11:59pm Eastern on 12/6 to book, so you’ll have to be ready to pull the trigger on an itinerary tonight.
