Delta flash sale from 20K RT to Europe [economy class]

Update: There are still some good round trip deals to Europe, but not as many as when this post was originally published.

Delta is offering a flash sale with great deals on economy class travel to Europe from 20,000 SkyMiles round trip for travel during the rest of the summer and into the fall. Rates vary based on city pairs, but it’s worth exploring a bit if you’re looking for a trip to Europe between August and the end of the year.

The Deal

  • Delta SkyMiles is having a flash sale with award flights from the US to Europe from 20,000 SkyMiles round trip in economy class
  • Search for availability round trip at Delta.com

Key Details

  • Low pricing requires round trip travel, so search round trip (use flexible dates to see weeks of availability at once
  • Availability varies by city pairs from August though the end of the schedule

Quick Thoughts

No Mas Coach has a number of example deals here and here and TPG has a few even cheaper routes here, so check those sites for more extensive example deals. As you can see, deals start at just 20K SkyMiles and about $51 round trip from New York JFK to Madrid, Spain.

Prices do vary by route and many cities are included for fewer than 30K points round trip. If you’ve got a trip to Europe in mind, it’s worth taking a look right now.

If you’re short on Delta SkyMiles, remember that they are an Amex transfer partner.

Make sure you check the cash prices before you book. I saw prices in the low $200s from New York to Madrid, although that is in basic economy. Might not be a great use of miles, always makes sense to check first!

Looking at the DL app, I can’t find a flexible date option. Is that only on a desktop?
