Delta is running a flash sale on Delta One service between several US cities and Europe with many cities included from 98,000 SkyMiles round trip. The travel period includes both peak ski season and late spring time, so if you’re looking to travel to Europe in comfort during that window you’ll want to take a look.

Key Terms

  • Book by 11:59pm ET on Thursday, November 15th
  • Travel from December 24, 2018 to May 27, 2019

Quick Thoughts

Delta One service for 49K each way certainly isn’t a bad deal and represents a sizable discount over booking separate one-ways with Delta. For example, I looked at one-ways from New York to Brussels during February and the cheapest I found via Delta.com was 86K one-way. But searching round trip brought up plenty of results at 98K total.

The included travel period is the low season for much of Europe (and is likely why Flying Blue also put some routes on sale for the next couple of days, see our earlier quick deal: Flying Blue flash sale). That said, this is a good price for round trip business class travel still. Note the low taxes/fees included on round trip travel originating in the US on this as well — just $56 round trip.

When Delta runs flash sales, I often find additional routes on sale beyond those listed on the landing page. If you don’t see your desired city pair listed, it’s still worth doing a quick search to see what you come up with.

Also keep in mind that while the Flying Blue sale (which is just in economy class out of the US-based cities and only includes a couple of North American deals in business) is only valid through March 31st, this sale is available in business class from many more cities through May 27th. That includes some nicer spring time weather in April and May.

If you’re short on SkyMiles, remember that Delta is an Amex Transfer Partner, so you can top off your account there (though Amex does charge a small excise tax on transfers to US-based programs, so it isn’t free to transfer).
